The way we work is undergoing a seismic shift, driven by artificial intelligence (AI). While methods like Scrum and Agile have been human-led and designed in the past, these processes will increasingly be shaped by AI in the next 5 to 10 years. Scrum and other agile frameworks have become the norm in many companies, but the future will look very different. AI will drive our workflows, adapting them faster and more efficiently to changing conditions.
Thankfully, many companies and individuals already have experience with these methods. Businesses have taken their first steps into the future with agile processes and technologies like Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint and Agile Projectmanagemant tools like Jira and Co. Yet despite this progress, an even bigger wave is on the horizon: AI and Quantum Computing.
But are we really prepared for what’s coming?
When I look around, I see that most people are only scratching the surface of AI. When I ask someone if they use ChatGPT, I often get responses like, “Yeah, sometimes to shorten an email,” or even, “No, I don’t need it, I know what I’m doing.” While some people are cautiously starting to embrace AI, true interaction with the technology is still lacking. We aren’t using AI enough in our daily workflows, even though the tools are right at our fingertips—AI plugins for tools like Miro, or Copilot in Jira and Office 365.
AI and Quantum Computing will exponentially increase the need for agility. You might be wondering, “What does Quantum Computing have to do with my work?” The answer: everything, eventually. Quantum Computing, combined with AI, will completely transform how we work, make decisions, and innovate.
Take the pharmaceutical industry, for example. Quantum technologies and AI are accelerating the development of new drugs. What are today complex and time-consuming processes will soon be completed in a fraction of the time. This technological leap will have a massive impact on you, your department, your company, and the entire market. (Click here to Read more about Quantum Computing and Ai in Pharma)
The key message is simple:
embrace these technologies. The AI revolution is unstoppable. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prepare for the future. Don’t cling to outdated methods or rules—tap into the potential of AI and Quantum Computing to stay ahead of the curve.
Ride this wave, don’t let it overwhelm you, and make sure you’re on board early enough to lead the way!
